Principal's Message

Dear Granada Families,

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! We are excited to welcome back our returning families and extend a warm greeting to those joining the Granada community for the first time. As we begin this new academic year, we’re excited to launch this year’s theme: Built for Success.

At Granada Middle School, we believe every student has the potential to grow, achieve, and lead—and we are committed to building the skills, habits, and character that will help them succeed both in and out of the classroom. "Built for Success" is more than a theme—it’s a mindset that guides our work together as students, staff, and families.

We are incredibly proud of our dedicated teachers and staff, who work tirelessly to support, inspire, and guide our students each day. Their commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment is a cornerstone of what makes Granada such a special place. Together, we are truly Built for Success!

Our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) program continues to reinforce this foundation through our guiding values: Matadors with M.E.R.I.T. Our students strive to be: Motivated, Engaged, Respectful, Inventive, and Trustworthy.
These values shape our daily interactions and define the character of our Matador community.

We also know that strong family partnerships enhance student success. One of the best ways to get involved is through our Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA), which plays a vital role in supporting school programs, events, and community connections. We are pleased to share that Stephanie Dickinson is returning as our PTSA President for the 2025-2026 school year. Stephanie brings dedication, leadership, and a strong commitment to our school community. If you're interested in joining or learning more about how to get involved, please reach out to her at [email protected].

Thank you for your continued support and for being an essential part of the Granada family. We look forward to a school year filled with growth, learning, and shared success—because at Granada, we are Built for Success!

Warm regards,

Dr. Samuel Peña
Proud Granada Principal
