School Mission
At Granada Middle School, we are dedicated to creating a school environment where all students are respected, valued, included, and most importantly loved. As a school community, we stand united in our commitment to educating our students, staff, and community about the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our goal is to continue to create a safe and supportive environment where all voices are heard, differences are celebrated, and mutual understanding is promoted.
We strive for excellence in everything we do. Built upon a strong, standards-based, academic foundation, every aspect of our curriculum and school environment is geared towards our district mission of helping our students become lifelong learners and contributing members of a literate, skilled, and responsible society.
Our academic program utilizes a collaborative approach to refining our instruction and providing support to any student who is not meeting grade-level standards. Beginning in the summer before their 6th grade year, all of the way through the 8th grade promotion ceremony, we have programs in place to ensure that we are providing a safe and engaging atmosphere to encourage responsibility, caring, and a value for community service. We pride ourselves on programs that promote community involvement and strong home-school communication both of which are vital to the success of our students.
All of these attributes combine to make Granada a wonderful, student-centered place to learn and grow during their middle school years. We are proud to have been recognized by the State of California as a California Distinguished School and by the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence as an Honor Roll School.
