Principal's Message

Dear Granada Families,

On behalf of the entire Granada staff, I am thrilled to welcome you to the 23-24 school year! As we embark on this journey together, I want to extend a warm welcome to both returning families and our new 6th grade families. We are excited to have you as part of the Granada family!

I'm so grateful to be serving as your principal for a second year. I learned so much last year about the rich culture of academic excellence that Granada has established. This is only possible with our amazing and dedicated teachers and staff that are passionate and want ALL students to succeed. It was also great to connect with so many parents and families. Our community truly wants the best for our Matadors!

Middle School is a pivotal time in every student's educational journey, where they will continue to build upon the foundation laid in earlier years and develop important skills that will serve them well in the future. Our mission at Granada is to provide a safe and nurturing environment that prepares students for the rigors of high school, college, and beyond. Having a great middle school experience can set students up for success. I firmly believe that all students need to be valued, accepted, given clear boundaries, and most of all loved. This can only happen through strong and positive relationships. I encourage all students in our daily announcements to, "Stay Positive, Be Kind, and Dream Big!"

Please consider joining our PTSA to stay connected. We are always looking for volunteers to help support our various programs. It's through our parent support that helps make our school so successful.

Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education. Together, we will make this school year memorable, inspiring, and successful. If you have any questions, concerns, or ideas you'd like to share, please don't hesitate to reach out to our school office.

Here's to a fantastic year filled with growth, learning and FUN!

Warmest regards,

Samuel Peña, Ed.D.
