Principal's Message

Dear Granada Families,

On behalf of the entire Granada staff, I am thrilled to welcome you to the 2024-25 school year! I

want to extend a warm welcome to both returning families and our new 6th grade families. We

are excited to have you as part of the Granada family!

This year, our theme is "Stronger Together," which reflects our belief in the power of unity,

collaboration, and mutual support within our school community. Together, every student, parent,

teacher, and staff member plays a crucial role in making Granada a place where everyone feels

valued and empowered. Our theme emphasizes the importance of working together to create an

environment where students can achieve academic excellence, build strong character, and

develop lifelong skills.

We are especially proud of our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program,

encapsulated in our slogan: "Matadors with MERIT"—Motivated, Engaged, Respectful,

Inventive, and Trustworthy. These qualities are not just words but principles we live by daily,

guiding our interactions and shaping our school culture.

Our dedicated teachers and staff are committed to fostering a supportive and engaging learning

environment. They work tirelessly to provide high-quality education and to instill these core

values in our students. By promoting MERIT, we aim to equip our students with the tools they

need to succeed both academically and in their personal lives.

We are also excited to announce our new PTSA President, Stephanie Dickinson, who brings a

wealth of experience and enthusiasm to our community. Please feel free to reach out to her at

[email protected]. We encourage all parents and guardians to actively participate in our

PTSA. The PTSA plays a vital role in supporting our school, organizing events, and providing

valuable resources that enhance the educational experience for all students. Your involvement

and partnership are essential to our success, and we welcome your ideas and contributions.

As we start this new school year, I encourage everyone to embrace the "Stronger Together"

spirit. Whether it’s through active participation in school events, supporting one another in the

classroom, or engaging in open communication, each of us has a role in strengthening our

school community.

I look forward to partnering with you all to make this school year a positive and productive

experience for every student at Granada. Together, we can achieve great things and make this

year truly special. Here's to a fantastic 2024-2025 school year!

Warm regards,

-Dr. Samuel Peña
